Jerome Haferd / Jerome Haferd Studio is partnered with Caa Pora Arquitectos on the Bombodromo, a mixed use performing arts and cultural campus in the Afro-Ecuadorian Valle del Chota region of Ecuador. Haferd and Caa Pora, working with local partners including Casa Oshun, researchers, anthropologists, conducted a series of engagement workshops to develop a program and curatorial scheme, as well as architecture, landscape, and urban design.

The centerpiece of Bombodromo is the “Bomba” form of Afro-Ecuadorian music and dance. This cultural landscape includes generations of music, instrument making, and social practice.
